Six Signs You’re Ready for Depth Hypnosis (even if you’re skeptical)

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably taken your inner life seriously for a long time. You’ve gone to therapy and gotten real value from it. You know your history, your core beliefs, and the experiences that shaped you. You’re self-aware, you can name what you feel, and you can usually explain why.

And still, some things haven’t shifted.

That’s often where women find their way to me, because they’ve reached the edge of what talking can do on its own. Depth Hypnosis works well alongside therapy, reaching the layers that insight alone can’t. Clients, and a few therapists, have told me they wish they’d known about it sooner.

Here are some of the signs I see.

1. You’ve tried “everything,” but nothing sticks.
You’ve talked yourself in circles, and the pattern is still present. Insight helps, but it doesn’t always reach where the pattern is held.

2. You know what to do. You’re still not doing it.
Your intellectual mind understands why. The rest of you hasn’t caught up. That gap usually means the change needs to happen below the level of thought.

3. The same trigger still sets you off.
You may even see it coming, and your body reacts anyway. The body keeps its own record, and it responds to being included rather than overruled.

4. Retelling the story leaves you feeling worse.
Much of this work happens without retelling it at all. We work with what’s held underneath the story rather than going back through it again.

5. You sense something needs to change but can’t name it.
In a natural altered state, your subconscious often leads you to what’s ready to be met. You don’t have to arrive knowing the answer.

6. You’re skeptical but curious.
That’s a fine place to start. You don’t need to believe anything specific for the work to help.

What Depth Hypnosis is
Depth Hypnosis is a spiritual counseling model that works at the level where patterns actually live: the body, the subconscious, and spirit, however that shows up for you. It’s collaborative, and you stay aware and engaged throughout. If you’re currently in therapy, the two can work well together. My sessions draw on Depth Hypnosis™, Applied Shamanism™, Integrated Energy Medicine, and Hatha Yoga, depending on what your system is asking for.

If any of this sounds familiar, I’d be glad to talk. I work with women in person in Atlanta and worldwide via Zoom.
